Purpose
Due to the constant loss of important emails by staff and management, a training program will be implemented that will teach the employees how to archive important emails and create filters that will automatically move emails from their inbox to the Archive system. Given an employee assigned Outlook email inbox, the student (employee) will be able to create new folders in their inbox and Archive inbox, create filters that will automatically move messages from their inbox to their Archive, and be able to manually Archive emails with a 100% accuracy within a testing period of 30 minutes or less.

Testing Strategies
This training program will include instructional methods such as power point slides, demonstrational YouTube videos, classroom discussion and questions, practice time, and conclude with a hands-on exam where the student will be given tasks in written form and will be required to perform each of the tasks listed in Figure 2 without assistance from the instructor or their classmates.

1. Open your Microsoft Outlook Email program.
2. Create 5 new folders in your Inbox.
3. Create 5 new folders in your Archives.

c. Amounts of storage capacity in one’s inbox vs. archives

Objective: Given information about the inbox and archives, the student will understand the need for each system within their work environment.
3. Show how to create a folder – YouTube video, watch instructor on overhead, pp slides and handouts – 30 minutes

a. Written test will be passed out to each student. They are to complete each task given without assistance from the instructor or classmates.

c. When a student finishes, they will raise their hand so the instructor can come review their work at that time. Immediate grades will be given. Students must be able to complete the tasks within 30 minutes with 100% accuracy.

User Experience and Delivery
The stakeholders of this program will be the staff, management, and other employees who have not taken the training program and possibly patients and hospital staff. By applying the techniques learned from the modules, students should be able to alleviate losing important emails which could have an adverse effect on other employees, patients, and hospital staff. The students should feel at ease during the training and remain at low levels of stress. They should feel comfortable using the computers and handouts given during the modules. By beginning the training with an ice breaker activity, students should relax quickly into the classroom setting environment even if they are in a room filled withstrangers. The Outlook system should be familiar to them as most will use it on the daily basis. The training will take place in the conference room on the 2nd floor and is accessible to all staff. The classroom will be set up with a computer for each student, enough workspace for their handouts and notes, and a projector and separate computer for the videos, which will be used by the instructor.
After completing the three hour program, students will be comfortable creating folders and filters and will be able to utilize their new skills immediately upon returning to work. This program should be successful in eliminating the needs for duplicate emails due to deleted or lost messages.
