read “beauty and the beast” by Suzanne Barbot De Villeneuve, and analyze the point of view (omniscient, limited-omniscient, or first person)
A. Your first paragraph will involve a thesis statement that identifies the point of view and states why you think the author chose it for the story.
B. Your supporting paragraphs will develop the following:
– Specific evidence in the story of the specific point of view
– How the point of view contributes to the conflict (type of conflict, suspense)
– How the point of view develops the characters (protagonist, antagonist, sympathy)
– How the point of view supports a specific theme statement (optional)
C. Your last paragraph will sum up how this evidence supports your thesis ( how the author‘s choice of point of view made the story stronger.)
The paper should be 2 1/2 pages, double-spaced, with standard margins. As always specific evidence and quotes improve your grade.
